Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal data TravelSIM Data collects, why we collect it, who processes it on our behalf, and what you can do about it. It covers the website at travelesimdata.com and our email newsletter.

The short version: the only personal data we ask you for is an email address, and only if you choose to subscribe. We run no advertising, no analytics and no cross-site tracking.

Who is responsible

TravelSIM Data operates this site and is the data controller for the purposes of the UK and EU General Data Protection Regulation. You can reach us atinfo@travelesimdata.com for any question about this policy or about your data.

What we collect

Email address — only if you subscribe

If you submit the newsletter form, your email address is sent to our email service provider and stored there. We do not ask for your name, and no account is needed to read anything on this site.

• What: your email address, and the date you subscribed.
• Why: to send you the newsletter you asked for. Nothing else.
• Legal basis: your consent, given when you submit the form and confirm it by clicking the link in the confirmation email.

Server and network logs

Our web server and our CDN record standard request data: IP address, browser user agent, the URL requested, and a timestamp. This happens for every visitor and is not tied to any identity.

• Why: to keep the site online, diagnose errors and block abuse.
• Legal basis: our legitimate interest in operating and securing the site.

What we do not do

• No advertising or tracking cookies. This site sets no cookies of its own.
• No browser storage. We store nothing in your browser's local storage or session storage. Dark mode follows your operating system setting, so there is no preference for us to save.
• No analytics. We currently run no analytics or heat-mapping tools of any kind. If that changes, we will update this page before turning anything on.
• No selling or sharing. We do not sell, rent or share your email address with anyone, and we never will.
• No profiling. We make no automated decisions about you.

Cookies

TravelSIM Data sets no cookies. However, Cloudflare — the network that sits in front of our server — may set strictly necessary security cookies such as__cf_bm and cf_clearance. These are used to distinguish automated traffic from real visitors and to protect the site from attack. They carry no advertising identifier and are not used to track you across other websites.

Because these are strictly necessary for security, they do not require consent under the EU ePrivacy Directive. That is why you do not see a cookie banner here.

Who processes your data

We use the following processors. Each one only receives what it needs to do its job.

• Kit (formerly ConvertKit), USA — stores the newsletter list and sends the emails. Receives your email address.Their privacy policy.
• Amazon Web Services (Lightsail), USA — hosts the server that serves this site. Receives request logs.Their privacy notice.
• Cloudflare, USA — provides DNS, TLS and CDN in front of the server. Receives request metadata.Their privacy policy.

International transfers

All three processors are based in the United States, so if you are in the UK, EEA or Switzerland your data is transferred outside your region. Each of them offers Standard Contractual Clauses or an equivalent transfer mechanism for this purpose.

How long we keep it

• Newsletter subscribers: until you unsubscribe. After you unsubscribe, your address is retained in a suppression list so that we do not accidentally email you again. You can ask us to delete it outright at any time.
• Server logs: rotated and deleted after 30 days.

Your rights

Under GDPR and similar laws you can ask us to give you a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, restrict how we use it, or object to our using it. You can also withdraw consent for the newsletter at any time — every email we send includes a one-click unsubscribe link, and using it takes effect immediately.

If you are a California resident, the CCPA gives you the right to know what personal information we collect, to request its deletion, and to opt out of its sale. We do not sell personal information, so there is nothing to opt out of. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.

To exercise any right, email info@travelesimdata.com. We will respond within 30 days. If you are in the EEA or UK and are unhappy with our response, you have the right to complain to your national data protection authority.

Children

This site is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has subscribed, email us and we will delete the record.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS only. We hold no database of our own — the subscriber list lives with our email provider, protected by their security controls and our account credentials.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle data — for example by adding analytics or a new processor — we will update this page and change the effective date at the top before the change takes effect. Material changes affecting subscribers will also be announced by email.
